On May 29, 2020, at the Meeting Room 4350, Pissamai Phimonsat Meeting Room, the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized the meeting of external networks of Academic Services of the fiscal year 2020 for the project on “Guidelines for Waste Management to Increase Community Income” by elderly group in Khlong Yong Community, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province. This project corresponds to the sustainable local development strategy of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University which in this year aims to exchange knowledge by emphasizing activities with external networks to create more knowledgeable people in the community.
In this meeting and field trip, Ms. Jitravadee Roongin Kunkar, the Head of Academic Services Project, welcomed a group of students from Sufficiency Economy Leadership for Security (SELS) course, the 7th generation, under the cooperation between Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters and National Defence College Think Tank which comprise of military officers, government officers as well as civilians from various departments. The students were interested in the King’s Philosophy, developing human, society and community to create their strength and live their life sustainably and sufficiently as well as preparing for the elderly society in sub-district level based on King’s Philosophy. Therefore, they decided to participate as an academic services network in the meeting and field trip on academic services project operation. This meeting was operated and announced by Ms. Jitravadee Roongin Kunkar, the Head of Academic Services Project, and was honored by Captain Pharmacist Chitchanoksit Wattanasiritorn, the Student Group President of Sufficiency Economy Leadership for Security (SELS) Course, to preside over the meeting. In addition, the representatives of teachers from Academic Services Project also participated in the meeting.
In this meeting, the students from Sufficiency Economy Leadership for Security (SELS) course gave ideas in improving products of the project as well as offered guidelines for developing quality of life in creating good health for the elderly people who were a project trainer. They also bought products produced by elderly people in this project for 3,000 baht, and this income will be then given to the elderly people to be deposited in their household account.
